A distraught subject who threatened to light himself on fire faces possible prosecution for the March 27 incident. Kingman police responded to the disturbance at a local truck stop in the 4000 block of East Andy Devine Avenue at 1:10 p.m.

“It was reported that a man and a woman were fighting, and that the man was attempting to light them on fire after pouring lighter fluid on each of them,” a press release stated. “It was determined that the 49 year-old man had doused himself with kerosene, made suicidal statements and attempted to ignite himself with a lighter.”

Deputy Kingman Police Chief Rusty Cooper said the fire did not ignite and that neither out of town residents was injured. The unidentified man was transported for psychiatric evaluation.
