WNBA stars Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson-Griner are having a baby! The duo are expecting a bouncing baby baller only two months after tying the knot following a domestic violence dispute in Goodyear. It was a WNBA wedding that really packed a punch for the two co-defendants! Griner’s matrimonial ball
and chain is Tulsa Shock basketball player Glory Johnson. Only a week after pleading guilty to domestic violence and disorderly conduct, Griner was hitched to her partner in crime during a mountaintop ceremony in Phoenix.
Griner and Johnson made the announcement they were expecting a bundle of joy just before the kick off of WNBA’s regular season Friday, June 5. Johnson, who is carrying the baby, will be off the court for this season during her pregnancy. Johnson said in statement released by the team ahead of the Shock’s home opener on Friday that “It has always been a dream of mine to start a family with someone I love.”
Griner is also watching the game from the sidelines. The All-Star Phoenix Mercury Center has been suspended for the first seven games of the season for beating up Johnson in April.
