A San Tan Valley couple is arrested for allegedly leaving their toddler son home alone while they went out to play” Pokemon Go”. Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu says it was 10:30 at night when a neighbor called 9-1-1 after finding the two year old wandering alone out in the street. He was reportedly
red-faced and sweaty, wearing only a diaper and tee-shirt. Babeu says, deputies found the couple’s door unlocked, entered and used their home phone to call the parents.
The Sheriff says, the dad, 27 year old Brent Daley, answered the call and the Deputy told him he needed to come home to his unattended child. Babeu says Daley replied” whatever” and hung up the phone. Later that night, the couple did return and Brent “shamefully admitted” they left the toddler unsupervised to go play “Pokemon Go.”
The baby was otherwise O.K. and has been put in care of the Department of Child Services. Brent and his 25 year old wife, Brianna, face charges of Child Neglect and Child Endangerment.
