The Lake Havasu City Police Department wants to inform the community that the use of bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates and scooters is prohibited on the city property directly under the London Bridge. This is the area between the London Bridge Resort property and The English Village property. The police department has been receiving complaints about damage to the benches, concrete stage, and metal railings as a result of bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates, and scooters. There were also complaints about the riders interfering with events on the city stage. There is a sign in the area that mentions these activities are prohibited under City Ordinance 10.08.180. The police department is asking for compliance with the city ordinance and officers have been tasked with monitoring this area and enforcing the ordinance when appropriate. City Ordinance 10.08.180 is punishable by a fine and damage to the city property could lead to an arrest. For further information on the city ordinance, refer to www.lhcaz.gov.
