Glendale police are asking the Maricopa County Attorney’s office to bring criminal charges against the 15-year-old boy who gave a teenage girl the gun she used to kill her girlfriend earlier this month.  While not commenting specifically on this case, County Attorney Bill Montgomery says his decision to prosecute will hinge

on what the accused knew when he gave the shooter the gun.  He says it’s critical to know whether the teen was aware of the reasons or purpose the gun he gave the suspect was going to be used to kill her girlfriend. Glendale police are asking Montgomery to charge the boy with giving or selling a firearm to a minor.  The families of both the victim and suspect do not want charges filed against the teen who gave the gun.
