Its members think the City of Kingman’s Historic Preservation Commission needs to meet with greater frequency. The volunteer commission currently meets quarterly, but member Jacqui Huntoon says greater frequency is necessary because the body is dealing with an increasing number of initiatives.

“We’re making headway. We want to make more headway. We want to increase the frequency of the meetings so we can get something done,” Huntoon said. She said it’s unreasonable for some matters to have to wait three months to gain commission attention.

Huntoon’s request was supported by Commission Chairman Laura Hansen. Staff was directed to review their concerns and report back to the city council.
