lockdownThey’ve lifted the lockdown implemented at the state prison in Golden Valley following four days of uprisings that ended on July 4. Issa Arnita, spokesman for the private company that operates the prison said normal operations have resumed at the facility. Arnita said deep cleaning efforts continue in the medium security Hualapai Unit where the inmates inflicted heavy criminal damage. He said repairs have not yet been initiated there.
Teams continue investigating the disturbances and violence and whether prison staff complied with proper operation procedures during the days of unrest.
