Phoenix Police make three arrests during Friday night’s “Rally For Justice” protest outside City Hall.  Sergeant Vince Lewis says cops in riot gear lined up along the streets to stop the protesters from blocking traffic when a few demonstrators got too close to the line and assaulted officers by

throwing softball-sized rocks at their heads. Police then deployed pepper balls – a nonlethal tear gas that incapacitates suspects.   Police arrested 24-year-old Andre Hendrix and 21-year-old Christian Soto for aggravated assault on a Police officer and obstructing governmental operations. Police also arrested 24-year-old Devin Brooks for disorderly conduct when he refused to comply with police and disperse.
