reckless-driving-attorneys-portsmouthMohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mark Edward Fitzwater, 49, and Rebecca Michelle Jones, 41, both of Topock, Sunday (9/9) afternoon. Fitzwater was arrested for reckless driving, a contempt of court warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court along with two failure to appear warrants issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court and Bullhead City Municipal Court, all misdemeanors. Jones was arrested on a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court. Approximately 2:30 p.m., deputies observed Ross operating a yellow mini pit motorcycle traveling west on Powell Lake Road. Deputies knew Ross to have outstanding warrants. Deputies observed the motorcycle cut through parking lots, through alleyways and dirt fields. Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5000 block of Chirichua Drive and observed Ross look back in their direction. Deputies further observed Ross drop the motorcycle and proceeded to run between a chain link fence of two residences. A short time later, deputies located Fitzwater hiding in a baby crib inside a motorhome in the 5000 block of Aravaipa Place. Deputies also located Jones hiding in a closet of the motorhome. Deputies knew Jones to have an active warrant. Fitzwater and Jones were taken into custody without incident. A records check confirmed their warrants. They were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The motorcycle was towed from the scene.
