Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jose Luis Perez Jr., 25, of Fort Mohave, Tuesday (12/16) afternoon for theft and two counts of trafficking in stolen property, felonies. At about 12:35 p.m., deputies were contacted by a manager of the Laguna Water Company at the Mohave County District II Substation. The manager reported that Perez, an employee, stole two generators from the business and pawned them. The manager described the generators as a Champion 2000 watt and a Generac 4000 watt. Deputies utilized the national Internet pawn ticket database called LeadsOnline and located both generators pawned by Perez at a business in Bullhead City. Deputies recovered the stolen generators from the business. Approximately 2:25 p.m., deputies contacted Perez at a residence in the 2400 block of Dakota Road where he was taken into custody without incident. A search of Perez revealed a pawn ticket for one of the generators. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
