Investigators have not been able to determine a specific cause, but they’ve concluded that a July 6 fire at a Kingman recycling business was accidental in nature. Kingman Fire Department personnel responded at 3:18 p.m. to the fire at Bulldog Disposal on Andy Devine Avenue.
“Fire personnel found heavy smoke and fire within the recycling area where an array of materials including tires, paper and plastics were sorted and prepared for shipping,” Assistant Fire chief Keith Eaton said. “Bulldog employees used heavy equipment to spread the materials to allow fire crews to gain better access to the fire areas within the piles.”
No injuries were reported during the incident.
“Fire loss estimates are still inconclusive, but a large generator, storage containers and a forklift received substantial damage,” Eaton said.
