The American Red Cross is moving its office from Lake Havasu City to Kingman. The move is prompted by no-cost office space available there, provided by the Mohave County Office of Emergency Management.
“The Red Cross is a careful steward of donor dollars,” said Frank Bourget, Executive Director of the Northern Arizona Chapter of the American Red Cross. “When we can reduce costs by using space that is donated, that is the right thing to do.”
“Volunteers will continue to serve in Lake Havasu City, as they do throughout our state,” said Bourget. “That will not change at all.
The new space in Kingman will serve as a meeting and training place for volunteers and a storage place for emergency supplies and equipment as well as house The Red Cross disaster vehicle and trailer.
The office in Lake Havasu City will close on May 31, 2016 and the new space at 3675 Sunshine Ave at the Mohave County facility in Kingman will be available June 1, 2016.
