A missing persons case is resolved through positive identification of human remains that hikers discovered last in a rugged area on the south end of Lake Havasu City. Mohave County Search and Rescue personnel used a helicopter and a rope team to recover the remains during a dangerous mission on Sunday, March 31.
Lake Havasu City Police Sergeant Tom Gray said the medical examiner has determined the remains are those of a Lake Havasu man who was reported missing last July. He said the coroner has not yet been able to determine how Rodney Wunderlich, 31, died.
Gray said there is nothing suspicious about Wunderlich’s death and that foul play is not suspected.
