Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Daniel Floyd Gonzales, 28, a transient, early Sunday (12/21) morning on a probation violation felony warrant issued out of Yavapai County Superior Court along with resisting arrest and a contempt of court warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice Court, both misdemeanors. At about 4:45 a.m., deputies were traveling southbound on Highway95 near Camp Mohave Road when they observed a male subject walking eastbound in a crosswalk. Deputies were stopped at the traffic signal when a female approached them in a SUV. The female subject advised that Gonzales had stolen money from her. As deputies approached Gonzales, he started running through an alleyway. Deputies followed Gonzales on foot. Deputies observed Gonzales fall and immediately get back up while he took a combative stance as the deputy got closer. Deputies further restrained Gonzales with pepper spray and took him into custody without further incident. Fort Mohave Fire Department personnel responded and treated Gonzales. Deputies located $15.00 on Gonzales. A records check showed Gonzales to have outstanding warrants. Deputies contacted the reporting party. The reporting party said that Gonzales is her ex-boyfriend and she did not want to press charges for the theft. The recovered cash was given to the reporting party. Gonzales was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
