Motorists should expect brief delays during the daytime work
The second of five Mohave County improvement projects began this week with construction to widen the existing pavement on London Bridge Road from Chenoweth Drive to Retail Centre Boulevard in Lake Havasu City, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Work is scheduled through April. Intermittent lane closures will be necessary weekdays from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flaggers will be assisting with traffic control and motorists should be prepared for brief delays of up to 15 minutes. The speed limit will be reduced and drivers should be alert for construction workers and equipment.
Traffic alerts will be issued with upcoming roadway improvements at the following location: Diamond Bar Road from Stockton Hill Road to Pierce Ferry Road (shoulder rumble strips and lane striping).
The $843,000 Mohave County project, expected to be completed in May 2016, is being administered by ADOT.
ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
