Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at the Ace Check Cashing business, located at 52 South Hope Road, Saturday (8/23) morning at about 8:25 a.m. The suspect approached the employee from behind as she was entering the business. The suspect pressed a handgun to the right side of the employee as they continued into the business. The employee did not understand much of what the suspect said as he spoke in Spanish. The suspect took the employee’s cell phone and keys from her purse. The suspect left the scene driving the employee’s vehicle after he tied the employee hands behind her back using duct tape. The suspect did not get any cash. The employee was not injured. The suspect is described as a very dark complected Hispanic male, in his 40’s, approximately 5’05” with a fake mustache and beard. The suspect was wearing sun glasses, a dark gray baseball cap, a blue button up shirt with blue jeans. The Arizona Department of Public Safety Kingman Ranger responded and assisted with an aerial search. At about 9:50 a.m., the employee’s stolen Jeep Cherokee was located in the 3500 block of Magma Road. A search of the property and residence revealed no suspects.
