Police are looking for a suspect who robbed and beat an elderly man to death.  Phoenix police say a man went to an apartment complex knocking on doors and asking for money claiming to be hungry.  One elderly couple gave the suspect $60.  The next day the suspect returned and tried to make a suspicious deal

leading the couple to ask the man to leave.  Instead of leaving, the suspect tried steal the woman’s purse and her husband stepped in and tried to stop him.  The suspect assaulted the man and ended up with several broken ribs.  The man died a few days later in the hospital.  The suspect is described as a White man, in his late 20’s or early 30’s, about six feet tall with light colored hair and average build.  Anyone with information is asked call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
