unnamed (6)For the past seven years, the Mohave County Parks Department has held their annual Santa’s Hualapai Wonderland event in the Hualapai Mountains near Kingman.  This year the Parks Department is expanding the event to include both the Hualapai Mountain Park and Davis Camp in Bullhead City for both youth and adults to get the chance to visit with Santa.  “The Hualapai Wonderland event has always been very well attended.  It is a great time to bring the whole family together to enjoy winter themed activities such as sleigh rides and roasting marshmallows,” Supervisor Buster Johnson stated.  “With the addition of the event at Davis Camp this year, residents in and near Bullhead City won’t have to travel as far to enjoy some of the same activities offered at Hualapai Mountain Park,” Johnson continued. Davis Camp’s Santa on the River event will feature various activities for the youth from letter writing to Santa, to ornament making and many photo opportunities with the big guy.  According to Parks Administrator Shawn Blackburn, admission to both events is $7 per carload.  Annual pass holders will just need to show their pass at the gate.  Santa’s Hualapai Wonderland event will take place at Hualapai Mountain Park from 1 until 5 p.m. on Saturday December 6th and Sunday December 7th.  Santa on the River will take place at Davis Camp in Bullhead City from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday December 13th and Sunday December 14th.  According to Blackburn, each park will feature a display of Christmas lights around the cabins and vacation rental homes.  “The festive light show is paid for through business sponsors and does not come out of the parks funds,” Johnson stated.  The Mohave County Parks Department is fully self-sufficient and run entirely off of park fees.  For more information on the two events, please call 928-681-5700 or visitwww.mcparks.com
