Area residents who are thinking of starting a small business, have recently started or expanded a small business, are invited to attend a pair of free seminars hosted by the Mohave Community College Small Business Development Center.
The SBDC’s guest speaker will be Jim Pipper, marketing and outreach specialist of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Arizona District.
The first session will take place on Tuesday, April 5, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Room 204 (Bldg. 200) at the Lake Havasu campus at 1977 Acoma Blvd. West. The second session will be on Wednesday, April 6 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in Room 2004 (Bldg. 2000) on the Neal Campus-Kingman at 1971 Jagerson Ave.
Attendees will learn about resources for small businesses available at the Mohave Community College SBDC, small business loans and resources from the Small Business Administration, creating business plans, free online training for small businesses, programs for women in business and “Reboot to Business” program specifically designed for veterans.
There will also be information and tips on doing business with the federal government and “how to put your business on the map”.
