Tucson fire crews make quick work of a dramatic fire in a private residence converted into a pre-school and charter school, downtown, which sent flames and smoke billowing into the early morning sky. Fire Captain Barrett Baker notes that, while it only took a half hour to get this fire under control, it looked a lot bigger from the freeway as firefighters vented the roof to let out the smoke and flame.

Baker credits the flood of people calling this fire in to responders made all the difference and helped them get to this fire quickly. Baker says no one was hurt but there was extensive damage to the building and school will be canceled there for some time.
