2015-01-07 PR Photo Charles HoppOn January 6, 2015, at approximately 6:15 p.m. detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Bureau, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET), served a search warrant at a residence in the 1200 block of Tamarack Drive.  The search warrant came as a result of an ongoing investigation. During the search warrant detectives located and seized approximately 5 ounces of heroin, 3 ounces of methamphetamine, and 14 grams of marijuana (with a total approximate street value of seized drugs at $37,100).  In addition, items of drug paraphernalia, three firearms, and over $2,000 in currency were seized.  Arrested during the investigation were 43-year old Charles Hopp and 32-year old Kathryn Steiner, both Lake Havasu City residents. Hopp was charged with possession of narcotic drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs for sale, conspiracy to sell dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana, misconduct involving weapons, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Steiner was charged with possession of narcotic drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs for sale, conspiracy to sell dangerous drugs, conspiracy to sell narcotic drugs, possession of marijuana, misconduct involving weapons, and possession of drug paraphernalia. At their initial appearances Hopp was held on a $100,000 cash only bond and Steiner was held on no bond and both were transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.  Photo: Charles Hopp and Kathryn Steiner Booking Photos
