Bullhead City Manager Toby Cotter remains confident that a second Colorado River bridge linking Bullhead City with Laughlin will be built in coming years. Cotter said he understands there’s some skepticism, given uncertainty concerning funding and the construction timetable.
Second Bridge Update
Cotter told city council members May 3 that bridge design work is underway and that total project cost is estimated just under $40-million. Cotter said Bullhead City has $2.1-million budget for necessary improvements connecting to the bridge on the Arizona side.
Cotter also addressed misinformation regarding bridge location. He tried to make it clear that the river crossing location is decided, and no alternatives will be considered.
“It’s only going in one location. There’s no debate where this bridge is going,” Cotter said. “It’s going near Target at the end of the Parkway. That’s where it’s going.”
