Bullhead City Fire department personnel responded to a brush fire in section 12 on Wednesday July 5. The half-acre fire was growing quickly when firefighters arrived shortly after 5:45 p.m.
“The area was checked for potential exposures and hazards before Battalion Chief Stephenson made the decision to contain the fire and let it burn out on its own,” said fire department spokesman Lorrae Viles.
“The fire consumed approximately 20 acres of dry brush.”
No one was injured in the fire and its cause remains under investigation.
“It was reported that three young male juveniles were seen running from the scene when the fire started,” Viles said. Anyone with additional information is asked to call the Bullhead City police department.
