Two suspects have been arrested fro violating “Shannon’s Law.”  Sergeant Trent Crump with Phoenix police says someone called police after spotting a couple of guys firing shots into the air from their car around a Phoenix neighborhood.  Police stopped a car matching the description of a car seen driving away from the area.

Officers found a couple guns and took them into custody.  No one was hurt, but the two are still facing felony charges for firing a weapon into the air.  “Shannon’s Law” was passed after 14-year-old Shannon Smith was killed by a stray bullet on New Year’s Eve.  It’s a felony to fire a weapon into the air.
