Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu is speaking out about the government’s incompetence after it’s revealed one of the weapons found in possession of notorious drug cartel leader El Chapo was a high powered rifle missing in the “Fast and Furious” gun running operation. Babeu says years after the Obama
administration’s botched gun running operation ended, “now we find a 50-caliber rifle that can pierce not just body armor, but through a vehicle in the possession of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, the head of the Sinaloa Cartel which we are fighting here in Arizona.” Babeu says this is must more evidence that these will continue to show up for years to come. There are about 14-hundred high-powered weapons unaccounted for.
Babeu slams former Attorney General Eric Holder and the Obama administration for the deadly gun running operation. He notes Holder was found in contempt of congress and he’s lied before Congress under oath and the courts have ruled that this government must turn over all these documents he’s withheld for years.” Holder is calling on him to be indicted and insists someone should go to jail.
The Sheriff says someone should be held responsible for the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry who was killed by a gun in the “Fast and Furious” operation. Babeu also says it’s “sickly ironic” the fact that now we have President Obama’s gun grab and “infringing on Second Amendment freedoms,” while at the same time ordering legal gun shops in Arizona to sell to “knowing straw purchasers (someone who is unable unwilling to purchase the gun) in Arizona.” He says Obama is lying to the American people and predicts there will never be justice for Brian Terry.
