Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio was one of the featured speakers on the final night of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.  After it was over, “America’s Toughest Sheriff” told Arizona News Radio that he was pleased with the way it went, “I think the people liked it, speaking from the heart.”  Asked if it

was an honor for him to speak at the convention for the first time, he joked it’s a Big Honor-For Donald Trump!  Arpaio says he spoke at the convention to help Trump, not himself.  Meanwhile, Arpaio is required to appear in Federal Court in Phoenix Friday afternoon for the latest hearing in his contempt case.  Considering Trump and Arpaio have become good friends since his endorsement for the media mogul, Arpaio says he won’t involve Trump in  his legal issues or ask him for help.
