The possible provision of law enforcement services to Colorado City will be addressed during today’s Mohave County Board of Supervisors meeting in Kingman. The Board will consider a resolution that would position the county for contracting with the northern Arizona municipality.

That the Colorado City town marshall’s office could be disbanded remains a possible outcome of a civil rights trial that ended earlier this year. The finding was that the town sometimes discriminated against residents based upon their religious faith.

Sheriff Jim McCabe said months ago that his department could provide law enforcement services to Colorado City if properly compensated.
