A plea agreement has been entered to resolve a murder in northwest Arizona. James Collins, 51, pled guilty Tuesday in the October, 2014 death of his girlfriend Cynthia Horn. Prosecutor Jace Zack said the couple who lived in separate residences in Yucca were driving back home when an argument erupted and Collins shot Horn twice in the head near the community of Wikieup. Cadaver dogs were used to locate the victim’s remains where they were buried on a three acre parcel in the southwest Arizona community of Yuma.
Collins is convicted of second degree murder under terms of the deal. He faces a 10-20 year prison term when sentenced on May 20.
