Phoenix Police are trying to find who shot a man then left him on a roadside. Sergeant Jon Howard says an irrigation farmer checking his system in Laveen at 57th Avenue and Southern spotted the victim’s arm sticking out of a barrier. Too afraid to get close to him, the farmer called police, who
determined the man had been shot several times. However, police have lots of questions surrounding a motive and circumstances leading up to the shooting. It’s also unknown if the victim was shot at the scene or elsewhere and then dumped at that location.
The victim, believed to be in his ‘30’s, is hospitalized in extremely critical condition. And police have no suspect information. To complicate matters, Howard points out this is a very desolate area with no surveillance that anyone knows of.
If you can help the case, you’re urged to call Phoenix Police or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
