Bullhead City Police arrested a man for armed robbery and aggravated assault at Wal-Mart.
On August 13th, Wal-Mart reported that a man had concealed some merchandise in his pockets. When he attempted to leave the store without paying, a loss prevention employee confronted him about the stolen items and the man pulled out a knife. The employee backed away in fear for his safety and contacted police. The male suspect left the store and was not located.
On August 16th, a different loss prevention employee stopped the same male suspect from leaving the store without paying for a blue tooth speaker. The man, again, pulled out a knife. He left the area on a bicycle. Police were able to locate the suspect near Highway 95 and Mohave Drive.
Wal-Mart positively identified Gilbert Gukel, 19, as the suspect. Gukel was arrested for two counts of armed robbery and aggravated assault. He was also booked on an outstanding warrant for robbery out of Los Angeles, CA. He was transported into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
