systems at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport are operational.  We will continue testing the system throughout the night in preparation for tomorrow’s scheduled operations.”  TSA says the “automated bag-screening” computer network experienced a serious malfunction for about 14 hours.  About three thousand bags couldn’t be screened and those bags were literally driven to other airports in nearby states such as Las Vegas, Nevada to be screened and then sent to the final destination.
