SLOMAOne of the mainstays of the Lake Havasu City Police Department is retiring at the end of this week. City Manager Charlie Cassens said Police Captain Richie Sloma is hanging up his badge and gun Friday, after nearly 32 years with the Department. “Captain Sloma started with the City as a dispatcher in 1983 and he became a police officer in 1985,” Cassens said. “The last two years of his career he has spent as the operations captain managing the patrol and investigation divisions. Richie will be missed and we wish him the best as he starts this new chapter in his life.”
