A Kingman man was arrested for a slew of criminal charges after her struck and injured his own mother in Dolan Springs on Valentine’s Day. The Mohave County Sheriff’s office said the 67-year-old victim locked her door and grabbed her .380 pistol as her son tried to force his way into her home in the 14000 block of N Hermosa Drive.
The victim told deputies that her son, 43-year-old Daniel Dee Lambert, ignored her requests that he leave her property.
“The victim further advised that Lambert grabbed the pistol from her and struck her in the head multiple times after he broke his way into her house,” Sheriff’s spokeswoman Trish Carter said. She said Lambert pointed the weapon at her and her roommate in a threatening manner before he fled in a vehicle.
Lambert was subsequently located and arrested following a traffic stop. “He admitted punching his mother two times to get the gun away from her,” Carter said.
The woman was treated for her injuries. Lambert was booked into jail for assault charges as well as trespassing, theft, robbery and criminal damage.
