The Mohave County Transportation Commission was the focus of extended discussion at Monday’s Board of Supervisors meeting. Supervisors expressed a variety of opinion regarding whether the Commission should be disbanded, have its role expanded or remain the same.
Supervisors talked circles around the subject before voting to keep the Commission as is. The Board agreed to review the function and role of the Commission early next year.
The Board also approved supervisor Steve Moss’s proposal to establish a committee to conduct a needs assessment study focused on the county’s animal shelter needs. The committee will involve citizens, supported by county staff.
