Those bright lights streaking across the sky that were seen from Colorado all the way to California last night came from outer space.  Meteorologist Austin Jamison with the National Weather Service says it wasn’t a UFO lighting up the night sky, it was just space junk.  He says there’s speculation it was a satellite

or a booster rocket breaking up and burning up while falling back into the atmosphere.  He says there’s a bunch of satellites that have been launched into space and when a satellite no longer works or can’t be controlled, gravity takes over and it starts to fall back toward Earth.  It’s unusual to see it falling back into the Earth’s atmosphere, but it does happen.  Utah NASA Ambassador Patrick Wiggins confirms it was a “rocket body” or “rocket booster” from a Chinese space craft falling toward earth.
