Stakeholders in Arizona’s wildlands and forests are
coming together in Scottsdale for a conference they say is aimed at making our state’s
economy healthier by making our forests healthier.

SRP water rights analyst Rebecca Davidson
says the “Healthy Forests, Vibrant Economy” conference” is examining several
solutions which are both environmentally friendly and cost-effective to protect
forests from wildfires, utilize brush and other biomass debris in new products
and protect the Salt and Verde River watersheds which provide a significant
amount of fresh water to the Phoenix Metro Area.
