Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James Christopher Riccobono, 28, a transient of Lake Havasu City, Saturday (1/10) morning for burglary, resisting arrest, stalking per domestic violence and aggravated harassment per domestic violence, felonies. Approximately 6:55 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 1900 block of Folzman Drive. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the reporting party, a 31-year-old female victim. The victim reported that she has an order of protection against Riccobono, her husband. The victim said that she was abruptly awoken this morning by the rattling of her bedroom window when it opened and she heard Riccobono’s voice. Riccobono left the residence prior to the deputy’s arrival. Deputies observed the screen covering the bedroom had been removed. The victim further said that Riccobono sent her a threatening text message. The victim advised that Riccobono is driving a grey 2010 Chevy Camaro. Deputies left the residence and began searching for the Camaro. A short time later, deputies responded back to the area as Riccobono had returned. While enroute, deputies observed the Camaro traveling in the area of Havasu Gardens and London Bridge Road. Deputies caught up with the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the 4700 block of London Bridge Road. As deputies exited their patrol vehicle and approached the Camaro, the vehicle sped off at a high rate of speed. An ATL (Attempt to Locate) was issued to area law enforcement. At about 10:00 a.m., Lake Havasu Police officers located the vehicle in the area of Fall Springs Wash and Highway 95. Deputies responded and observed the Camaro abandoned, facing south in the northbound lanes. Deputies further observed two other vehicles damaged on the highway. Apparently, Riccobono lost control of the Camaro and drifted into oncoming traffic. The Camaro did not hit any other vehicles; one vehicle rear ended another vehicle. Lake Havasu Police officers apprehended Riccobono after a foot chase into the desert, east of Highway 95. Riccobono was transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center at his request. Riccobono was taken into custody after he was medically cleared. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without further incident.
