On August 19, 2015, at approximately 10:45 a.m., detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau served a search warrant at a residence in the 3100 block of Horseshoe Canyon Drive. The search warrant was a result of an on-going burglary investigation that occurred at Starline Elementary School, which was reported on July 7, 2015. On that date, the suspects broke a classroom window and removed electronics and computer equipment from inside the school.
During the service of the search warrant, detectives located 11 Dell laptop computers, two NEC projectors, an Aver Media Camera, and a Viewsonic computer monitor. All of these items were identified as having been stolen in the burglary. The estimated value of the recovered stolen property is approximately $13,000.
Arrested during the search warrant were 20-year-old Christopher Tougas, 20-year-old Jolene Tougas, 18-year-old Sean Tougas, and 19-year-old Anthony Nunez, all residents of Lake Havasu City.
Christopher and Jolene Tougas were both arrested and charged with possession of stolen property. Sean Tougas and Anthony Nunez were arrested and charged with burglary, theft, and possession of stolen property.
During their initial appearances, Christopher Tougas, Sean Tougas, and Anthony Nunez were each held on a $20,000 bond. Jolene Tougas was held on a $10,000 bond.
