Phoenix Police are detaining a 16 year old student who allegedly put out a hit list against people at Shadow Mountain High School. Sergeant Trent Crump says a parent alerted the school to the threats as class began Thursday morning, and police were then called.
Crump says the student, who attends Shadow Mountain, had a list of about two dozen students and teachers he was targeting to do harm in various ways. Crump says the would-be victims were threatened in realistic, and not so realistic ways. An example of the latter category was a plan to “create his own bacteria to which he would be immune to that he could take someone out with.”
Crump says the student had no weapons on him, does not have a disciplinary record, and has expressed remorse.
The motive for the threats is unknown.
