Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jerry William Peterson, 45, of Lake Havasu City, Monday (1/26) evening for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08% and super extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .20%, misdemeanors. Approximately 8:25 p.m., deputies responded to a convenience store regarding a male subject urinating in the parking lot located in the 3200 block of Highway 95. White enroute, dispatch advised that the male subject was now in a blue Ford Mustang in front of the store. Upon arrival, deputies observed the described vehicle parked in the parking lot. Deputies contacted the reporting party, a store employee which advised the male subject was last seen inside the vehicle. Deputies approached the vehicle and observed a male subject asleep in the driver’s seat. Deputies contacted the male subject later identified as Peterson. Deputies observed car keys in the ignition. Deputies smelled a strong odor of alcohol on Peterson. During conversations with Peterson, he said that he had been drinking vodka. A DPS Officer arrived and assisted. Peterson was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County District III Substation where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .328%. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
