Phoenix police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that left one suspect dead.  Sergeant Vince Lewis with Phoenix police says an officer was checking out a suspicious car left at a local park with a random person came up to him and confronted him.  The suspect started fighting the cop and the cop called for back-

up.  A second officer arrived on scene while the officer and the suspect were fighting.  The suspect wrangled out of the officer’s grip and the officer shot the suspect.  The suspect ran about 50 feet before collapsing and dying.  The initial officer was transported to the hospital with a broken nose and lacerations to his face.  It’s unclear why the suspect confronted the officer.  Both officers are on administrative leave while the investigation continues.
