fatal shootingAn autopsy concludes that a Kingman man killed by police gunfire last Wednesday died of multiple gunshot wounds. 31-year-old Ryan Burgess suffered five gunshot wounds to the torso, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s office. Spokeswoman Trish Carter said Kingman police officer Chaz Tuver opened fire after ordering Burgess to put down the handgun he was pointing at a fellow officer. It turned out that the weapon was a BB-gun, though an exact replica of a semi-automatic Colt pistol. Tuver and officer Wayne Hollon were responding to a domestic disturbance when confronted by Burgess. Officer Tuver remains on paid administrative leave while the shooting is under review.
