Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Roland Dean Asuncion Jr., 18, of Kingman, late Sunday (12/28) afternoon for possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana for sale, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence and misconduct with weapons, all felonies. At about 1:52 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 3500 block of Northern Avenue. During the investigation, deputies arrested Chad Kawika Bagano, 21, of Kingman, for disorderly conduct per domestic violence and criminal damage per domestic violence, misdemeanors. The victim identified as Asuncion is Bagano’s younger brother. Bagano was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. Upon further investigations, deputies learned that Asuncion has marijuana inside his bedroom. A search warrant was requested. While the search warrant was pending, Asuncion entered the residence and locked himself inside and everyone else outside including his father. Deputies believed that Asuncion was destroying evidence. Deputies attempted to have Asuncion exit the residence without success. Eventually deputies contacted Asuncion through his bedroom window and informed him to exit. Asuncion exited the residence where he was taken into custody without further incident. At approximately 4:49 p.m., a search of the residence was conducted after the search warrant was approved. Deputies located marijuana in the toilet and on the floor. A search of Asuncion’s bedroom revealed several smoking pipes, a scale, a plastic bag containing a white liquid, $1,300 in cash and a .22 caliber handgun. A search of Asuncion’s vehicle revealed a plastic bag containing marijuana and a .25 caliber handgun. Asuncion was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
