A Golden Valley man is charged with multiple sex offenses involving a teenage relative. An investigation began after the 17-year-old girl revealed allegations to a Kingman High School resource officer on Monday, January 23.
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives subsequently arrested Shawn Cameron, 41.
“Investigations revealed a 17-year-old female victim has been sexually assaulted by Cameron, a family member, at their residence in the 3400 block of N Kayenta Road,” said spokeswoman Trish Carter. “Further investigations determined the abuse was on-going.”
The victim was removed from the home by Department of Child Safety officials. Cameron was booked into jail for three counts each of sexual abuse, sexual assault and sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of child molestation.
