A nine-year-old boy is lucky to be alive after flipping his 600-pound Quad that trapped him underneath.  Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Dwight D’Evelyn says the child was driving the Quad on his parents Dewey property when he lost control of a “full-sized” Quad during a turn that flipped over on its

side and landed on the boy’s chest.  The child’s family searched for the boy after losing sight of him and his 14-year-old cousin eventually found him.  The 14-year-old managed to lift the quad off the child who appeared to be unconscious.  The boy was airlifted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital and is listed in stable condition. D’Evelyn says the boy was not wearing a helmet or any safety gear.
