The Mesa Police Department is investigating an incident caught on tape that involved a female officer and teenage girl.  A couple driving past a Mesa police officer attempting to arrest an unruly teen hit record on their phone and got it all on tape. According to police, the 15-year-old girl who has a history of running

away, took off from her mother’s car and walked away.  Police were called in and tried to talk to the girl.  After several attempts at talking, police say the officer took hold of the girl’s arm causing the teen to physically lash out at the officer.  The officer allegedly took a swing at the girl while trying to arrest her for assault.  The video shows the girl kicking and screaming with the officer bent over her trying to cuff the teen.  The officer and the teen were treated for minor injuries.  Aggravated assault charges are allegedly pending for the 15-year-old girl.  Mesa police are investigating the incident.
