Glendale police have two teenage boys in custody after a shooting spree in broad daylight. Sergeant David Vidaure says the 14 and 16 year old boys were in a stolen vehicle firing shots from a B-B gun at 52nd avenue north of Thunderbird at about 3:45 Sunday afternoon.
Vidaure says police caught up with the suspects after a witness reported the license plate number. Turns out the silver Volkswagen bus was stolen in Phoenix Friday. Police nabbed the boys at a traffic stop. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the shooting spree.
The teenagers likely face charges of Aggravated Assault and Possessing a Stolen Vehicle. It’s up to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office to decide whether to prosecute the 16 year old as an adult.
