Memorial Golf Tournament Benefits Local Youth Mohave Valley, Ariz. – The 3rd Annual Jeff Driesen Memorial Golf Tournament was held recently at the Los Lagos Golf Club in Mohave Valley. A total of 87 golfers turned in score cards following the event on Saturday, December 6, which generated a large donation for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River. The Club would like to sincerely thank the tournament’s numerous sponsors, along with the entire Los Lagos staff for their hospitality while hosting this very special event, with 100% of the funds staying in our community. Jeff’s parents Al and Kathleen say the tournament is now a very popular annual event. It was originally organized to help commemorate the memory of their son Jeff, a Mohave Valley man who died unexpectedly in 2011 following an automobile accident. “Jeff was well thought of in the community and loved mentoring youth,” his parents said. “We now feel we have built a lasting partnership with the Boys & Girls Club that is also a special bond between our family and the kids. This is one way of keeping Jeff’s commitment to all kids alive and well.” They added that, “We are grateful for the hole sponsors, golfers and the Los Lagos staff for the tremendous success of the tournament this year. We truly appreciate the donation of raffle prizes and the assistance given by Jeff’s friends from Southern California, with a special thanks to Jim and Bobbie Stovall, as well as Paul and Fina Pryor for their generous gifts to the Boys & Girls Club.” The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River want to thank the Driesen family for their wonderful donation which goes to help numerous Club Kids while building a lasting legacy for their son Jeff.
