The future of the regatta will be addressed in a public hearing during tonight’s Bullhead City Council meeting. The Council is asked whether to continue the eight mile Colorado River float or cancel the event that drew more than 30,000 participants last month.
Supporters contend the event brings a lot of economic activity to the community. Critics are focused on some bawdy behavior and the tons of trash that have to be picked up after each regatta.
The council meeting starts at 5:30 p.m.
