Sheri Kay BarringtonMohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Sheri Kay Barrington, 52, of Fort Mohave, late Tuesday (10/13) afternoon for theft of means of transportation, felony, along with false report to law enforcement, theft and two warrants issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court for failure to appear and failure to pay fines, misdemeanors.  Approximately 4:16 p.m., deputies responded to the 5200 block of Highway 95 in reference to a suspicious.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted the reporting party.  The RP said that he recently reported a 1999 Toyota Camry stolen to Bullhead City Police Department and that vehicle is currently in the parking of this business.  Deputies observed the vehicle was unoccupied.  A computer check on the license plate showed the plate belonging to another vehicle.  As deputies were speaking with the reporting party, deputies observed a female subject exit the business and get into the vehicle.  Deputies contacted the female subject who falsely identified herself.  The female subject advised that the vehicle belonged to her mother.  Deputies contacted BHCPD and confirmed the reporting party had reported the stolen vehicle.  Deputies checked the VIN and determined the vehicle to be the stolen vehicle.  The female subject was taken into custody without incident.  Deputies determined the female subject to be Barrington.  A records check showed Barrington to have warrants.  Upon further investigation, the license plate on the vehicle belonged to Barrington’s mother’s vehicle.  Deputies contacted Barrington’s mother and she desired prosecution regarding her stolen license plate.  Barrington was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail
